My own journey began with Holly Hedge over 5 years ago when I was asked if I could provide some voluntary holistic therapies for some of their more anxious animals. As an absolute cheer leader of animals and their plight, of course I jumped at the chance and I was soon absolutely absorbed in everything they did there for the animals in their care.
Very special bonds are made with the residents when working with them.

Holly Hedge was founded over 30 years ago by Pauline Leeson, and the story of how she started the sanctuary and how it has survived so many years helping each and every lost soul that has come through the doors, is just inspiring.
As is every member of staff and volunteer that has helped the sanctuary become what it is today, everyone works incredibly hard.
Pauline has a deep compassion for every living animal and will give everything to save them.
Holly hedge feels like one big family, we all have the same values and goals in mind and of course a huge empathy and love of helping animals in need.
After a few years with the sanctuary I joined the fundraising team and we all have a great passion for what we do, last year we raised over £30k between us.
Fast forward 6 years and I have now helped over 700 animals at the sanctuary and have set up an enrichment programme, so that each animal has access to stress reducing remedies and herbs the moment they reach their new space at the sanctuary.
This has all been made possible by selling my products at the sanctuary, at local shops and fairs, and through the website. A proportion of profit from each product sold goes towards purchasing the herbs and products for every sanctuary resident. So thank you if you have made a purchase.
And a very big thank you from all the residents that have passed through the sanctuary and already have their forever homes, and all those that are yet to find theirs. Their stay at Holly Hedge has been made a little bit more manageable with the help of your kind donation towards the herbs & sprays.
